Tennessee Bar Exam Format

The Tennessee bar exam lasts two days.  On day one, the Multistate Bar Exam is administered.  On day two, twelve essay questions are given. Click here for more information about AmeriBar's Multistate Bar Review Course.
Tennessee Bar Exam Scoring Information

There are three ways to pass the Tennessee Bar Exam:

1) MBE - 135 & Essay 7/12

2) MBE - 130 & Essay 8/12

3) MBE - 125 & Essay 9/12
Tennessee Bar Exam - MPRE Requirements
In addition to successfully passing the Tennessee Bar Exam, an applicant must attain a score of 75 on the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam.  The Tennessee Bar will accept previous MPRE scores if taken within prior 24 months.  Click here for more information about AmeriBar's Free Online MPRE Review Course.

The Tennessee Bar only accepts concurrent MBE scores.
