The West Virginia bar exam is a
two day exam. On day one, two Multistate
Performance Test (MPT) questions and six Multistate
Essay Exam (MEE) questions are administered.
On day two, the Multistate Bar Exam is administered.

West Virginia Bar Exam Grading Information
Scores for all sections are combined. A 270 (scaled) is a
Multistate Essay Examination is a three hour exam
administered during the West Virginia Bar Exam.
Six essay questions are to be answered according to
the West Virginia law. Questions on the MEE
will be taken from at least six of the subjects
listed below. Some questions may contain issues in
more than one subject.

Conflict of Laws
Corporations and Limited Liability Companies
Federal Civil Procedure
Trusts and Future Interests
Applicants may use MBE score
if taken in previous 13 months and applicant passed
West Virginia Bar
Attorneys who have actively practiced for five of
the last seven years may be eligible to apply for
admission to practice in West Virginia by
reciprocity (Rule 4.0) if also admitted to
practice in one of the following jurisdictions
